Abigail Abbott

I love Art and Science. My family tree contains many artists and scientists. Life to me is about exploring the surrounding environment and looking for patterns, the blueprints from which all life stems from. Quantum Physics is glorious, as it combines these passions.
I also work in the Holistic Medical field, and am constantly amazed by the human body, its structure and function, and the more esoteric 'energy fields', the textures and colours one can observe and palpate synesthetically, with different dis-ease or emotional states. I hope one day to produce a medical anatomy book which can portray these findings visually, as an artistic and educational tool. I am inspired greatly by Alex Grey.
In Art I love Chaos or order, the two factors we need for a wide range of unique and diverse life forms on the planet. I enjoy sacred geometry and the mathematics involved in biology. I love it when seemingly different things look similar, only on a different scale, for example the histology of the kidney looks just like an environmental filtration bed, or the alveoloi of our lungs, made to breathe and exchange gases and air within us looks like the top of a forest of trees, designed to exchange gases of the air around us.
