artists and their artistic friends living in Canada.

Who is Artico
ARTICO - Artists-in-Connection - is a networking artist group reuniting Czech, Slovak and Canadian artists living in Toronto. The monthly gatherings include artists specializing in various styles and working with all mediums. The group attracts both professional and emerging artists of various ages and backgrounds.
In 2007-2008 ARTICO exhibited monthly at the RIVOLI gallery-lounge with fantastic openings connected with music organized by HOT - Hearts Open Toronto. Moving forward the group will exhibit in various locations in an around the Toronto area.

was founded in December 2007 by artists Pavla Quinn, Charlene Chartrand and
Veronika Roux-Vlachova in conjunction with Zuzana Hahn who represents HOT - Hearts
Open Toronto - music shows.
Our Goal
ARTICO’s goal is to bring artists to light. ARTICO networking meetings are schedules once a month in various creative Toronto venues. Artists talk about their art life, upcoming exhibitions and explore
ARTICO group shows possibilities. The meetings serve to reunite
people sharing the same passion and to work towards displaying beautiful art to everyone.

Our next steps
ARTICOs next steps is to further connect artists with other artists. We strive to create an atmosphere where people can work together as one mind with lost of great ideas and knowledge shared among artists. We will continue to spread the ARTICO word and expand its
resources for its artists in different areas. Together we have lots of
possibilities
to be artist who can create anything ,especially if is done from spirit .

December 14th, 2008 is the opening reception for Artico's group exhibition at the Rivoli, featuring works from Pavla, Charlene, Vera, Pavel, Dana, Jenny and many more. The opening reception will also feature music by Snappy Catchphrases.

Each year the artisans and craftspeople of this turn-of-the-century
warehouse and their guests open their doors to the public for a special
open house and sale in celebration of the holiday season. The
marketplace has an array of original gifts including handicrafts,
artwork, books, furnishings, ceramics, jewellery, and home decorating
items. Holiday Marketplace is a truly magical event that captures the
spirit of creativity that makes 401 Richmond such a unique place.

Sunday July 13th at 7pm is the opening reception for Artico artists Sian Gordon and Laura Minkensky at the Rivoli. The joint exhibit features Sian's exhibition ""Weather Permitting"" and Laura's exhibition ""Vertical Horizons"". A musical performance by Ian Hanh will accompany the opening.
