Arvin Jenab

Arvin Jenab is a self-taught, independent artist. His art is best described as "captured images that reflect holographic yet cohesive patterns". These images embody elements of "Expansion and Ascension" and reflect the merging that condenses 'Spirit into life'. Inspired by concepts prevalent in Eastern and European Mysticism, he describes his work as a snapshot of that space where he describes art and creativity to be a direct reflection of the process through which spirit manifests.
He views his art to be an extension of this process and an attempt to express universal concepts in a more abstract and inspiring manner. His work attempts to engage concepts that reflect the expansion and transformation of spirit into life, these may include the concept of oneness, Dance of the Spirit refers to the interplay of presences and absences through which the spirit manifests to create the world we experience as life. Expression is the language of the spirit.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Through my paintings and my writings reflect the merging of these opposites - the separate existence of absences and presences - each creating an image separate from the other, each equally undoing the other is the dance of opposites that creates life and inspires us to recognize the process of being. This process is eternal and despite all that it creates, it itself remains forever absent from our Mystics are lovers. Through love they describe a sense of non-being - a weightlessness - something they believe can only touch our hearts through inspiration and seduction, the beats to which The Lion's Gaze is the hearts eye, it sees where no two eyes can see, through it one sees the invisible.

The Lion's Gaze is a way of perceiving and integrating experiences, one that is more abstractly aware of patterns in life and cycles in nature. It is a way of recognizing and expressing in which we maintain a passive alertness, a presence that is one with the expression of all things in nature carry essence. This essence is what gives birth to expression through the five elemental energies that dance to create life. We had once been nothing, before we became something, to know the value of nothingness, the same nothingness of which all things are born again
