Bohdan Turok

Born in Slovakia, former Czechoslovakia, Bohdan moved to Africa at the age of 9 with his family where he took his fist photograph. Later moving to Germany and Canada, he studied and explored various fields, including painting, drawing, music, martial arts, eastern and western philosophy, meditation and psychology before he returned to photography in 2004. He completed his undergraduate degree in psychology and graduate degree in counselling which he now applies in his practice of psychotherapy. When he is not working on fashion or commercial photography, he applies his understanding of psychology and the unconscious to his work in photography.
