Carson Case: International multi-inter-dimensional artist
Paris – Rome – Vienna – Copenhagen - Miami
Music is my deepest inspiration…mixed with my blood, paint is ...my soul...my heart...my mind...my body intertwined
I interpret the music with paint and dance “Je suis l’esprit danseuse” le Sufi Moderne!
Artist Statement
I am a sculptor, action painter, kinetic and static installation artist, dancer-choreographer, lyricist-poet, composer, photographer, and short filmmaker.
I continually conceptualize and re-contextualize elements and how they are used and where they are relational. I mix modern and natural elements, because I believe we are becoming over-mechanized and disconnected from a needed balance with nature.
I dance & paint interpreting music either spontaneous and unprepared, OR prepared for a specific subject I wish to explain.
Materials: I use mostly recycled and found objects, because I care about our future and abhor waste. I use eco friendly paint from an Italian company that actually improves the environment.
I action paint outside on recycled glass sheets, metal studs & straps, fabric, etc with leaves, sea grass, seaweed, fabric, and fingers and mix my paint with sand, glass chips, mud, leaves, tar, oil, plaster, and whatever else inspires me in the moment. I rarely, if ever, use my brushes, which I associate with ancient, classical methods that I find to be boxed through the adherence to particular style trends or obsession with particular artists.
