Darryl Gilbert

Having worked as a playwright, an actor, and jewelry designer I felt the need to work in a larger sphere and photography definitely fills the bill. In no other art form can one move from one subject to another with such ease. So far I have turned my attention primarily to landscapes and architecture with somewhat painterly intentions.
I am really looking forward to traveling and applying my interest to other lands and their indigenous cultures. In these photos I have with passion tried to bring an aesthetic that is other than the mundane. To not simply report but endow, sometimes the commonplace, with something special. I hope I have communicated my love of the art form and appreciate gratefully your time and consideration in reviewing my work.
