Dorothea Schilling

I was born in Bamberg, Germany and have since spent many years living in the United States and London. My inspiration comes from strong colours and shapes that exist all around me. For many years, I have focused solely on my art. Although I have taken many art classes and courses at various stages of my life, I consider myself very much a self-taught artist. In 2007, a painting from my Galaxy series was chosen to be exhibited during the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Art in London. Recently, I have continued to concentrate my works on a mixture of abstract shapes and colors. Together, they form varying perspectives of shapes and forms.
