Jana Fak, visual artist, illustrator, graphic designer
Born in Maribor, 1979 in Slovenia. Studied Art in Arthouse College for Visual Arts Ljubljana.
I see Art in everything and everywhere. I belive when you have pure mind, soul, thoughts... you can create pure Art. In some way my artwork reflect all this. In Art i'm very experimental. I like to experiment with all kind of materials, patterns, forms, shapes and i like to express myself through different kinds of media; such as canvas, paper, glass, porcelain surface. Lately i'm creating digital paintings because i like to combine the computer graphics with hand drawings. In my creations i have no limits. I'm very playful when i'm creating, i just let my thoughts float on my screen, which can be as well as canvas screen or computer screen. Transparency and colour are very important to me. I like light transparent creations. Those are sometimes very ordinary, sometimes very chaotic, but only at first impression: when the Viewer is looking at them longer, he can see Order in them. Sometimes i put a lot of colours at once, sometimes just two or three, it depends on my mood and expression.
The surrounding environment and my life expiriences have big influence on my art work. I work as graphic designer, so i offten put some design elemnts (patters, forms..) very spontanious in my art work as well as i put some artistic elemnts in my designs. I believe that art and design couldn't exist without each other./p>
