John Leung
John Leung was born in Hong Kong in 1976. At that time Hong Kong was still under British rule, a lot of western ideology was injected to Chinese tradition to create a unique Hong Kong's life style. John embodied that "East meet West" culture while growing up. John was 19 when he picked up his first camera after seeing an art photography exhibition. He was attracted by real passion for this media . Afterward, he took a photography course but left after 6 months because he felt it was not what he wanted. He believed that he had to be 'in the mood for the art" and went his own way to learn everything from the lighting to the darkroom. Since then, vivid colors , cinematographic feelings & details influenced his works.
