Marissa Sweet

I see the beauty of life, I see change as growth and that there is always a solution to every situation. When I paint, I want to ensure my viewers can “feel” the painting, to capture the emotion that I wish to share. From a young age, my parents have always surrounded our home with paintings and music. It was very clear to me that somehow, I wanted to incorporate art into my professional career. Upon graduation with a BA in Economics, I worked in various corporate roles, yet somehow managed to keep painting as a hobby.

I studied oil and acrylic painting with the latter becoming my medium of choice. I continued to work on developing my creativity by taking various workshops with renowned instructors. In 1999, I studied Feng Shui with Master Joseph Yu. Its understanding and acceptance has influenced my art, which, just like Feng Shui principles, has to contain balance and harmony.
My husband, family, and Feng Shui inspire me. I am so lucky to be fulfilling my dream of painting. My intent is to use this media to rekindle awareness to audiences worldwide that we have a lot to be thankful for.
