I am an artist living in a very small and essentially rural community (kibbutz) in the centre of a young, modern, bustling country with very ancient roots.
As a child and young girl, living in one of the many suburban areas surrounding London, I had a traditional Jewish upbringing and at the same time was steeped in the History and pageantry of Britain.
The British Museum and The Victoria and Albert were my ""dreamlands"" and I would wonder at the displays laid out before my eyes.
Now I am able to express feelings, some of them not realized or suppressed for a long time, using all the cultural elements that I have soaked up over the years. Art history, a love of textile arts and decoration and the surrounding landscape I see from my window, all provide me with images that I can weave into my work.
