Nadia Nadege

My profound love for the nature and my ecologic involvement has been prematurely nourished from my childhood on the Mekong orange edges, the emerald heart of the Guyana Amazonian forest and the indigo blue Caribbean Islands.
Bathing in the luxuriant atmospheres of tropical zones and being raised by Buddhist monks and first nation Medicine-man, I developed simultaneously an intense colourist palette and a sacred vision for the Earth. My paintings essentially speak about waterfalls, rivers, ocean, trees, mountains... and fragile balance of our planet system.

Abruptly deprived of the wild nature and suddenly discovering the urban Parisian life at the junior age, led me to a new exploration : the human nature and especially people with no voice or no place. That is why my artworks also speak about my social commitment : children in difficulty, enslaved women, youth in the street or no ground peasants are themes of my exhibitions.
My creative process go methodically through 2 phases: the first stage of detailed research aims an internal maturation up to the first necessary creative movement. The second stage begins from the instinctive gesture to express the essence. For me, to create is always an answer to get out of silence, denial or programming - in fact, get out of hiding !
Figurative abstractions or abstractive figurations, I mix media, materials, colors, textures to create dramatic power and emotional vibration that touches the heart. So, art allows an authentic conversation, a promise of possibilities for the future because enlightening, moving, touching, being alive…
