Tod Hadley

I grew up in London, Ontario, Canada in a family of six children, four boys & two girls. I always enjoyed art from an early age, anything that was colorful & different always caught my eye.
I believe my interest in art came from my mother who did paintings, made rug hooking & Japanese embroidery which I still cherish today.

As a child I use to wait every month for the new National Geographic to arrive, spent many hours looking at the photos.
I have always been a very visual person, I love all mediums of Artistic expression but have always been more focused on the works of sureal/abstrat painters & scuplters (Dali & Henry Moore).
I spent my high school years taking art & drafting & was accepted into Fanshawe Colleges Advertising Art program. I later dropped out as I felt I was not in the right frame of mind to attend school. A few years later I attened The University of Western Ontario & completed a degree in Geography & Geology which has had a great influence on my drawings & paintings.
I don't eat meat, don't own a car, recycle , use public transit, grow vegetables & composte....I guess you could say that I'm an environmentalist. I recently recovered from a serious Pulminary Embolism in early 2007 & a new outlook on life reawakened the artist inside me.
I would describe my work as very Positive & colorful. I mainly draw with pen & watercolor but I also like to paint larger acrylic canvases.
In a nutshell you could say I'm a primary color kind of guy.
