WYSIWYG

by Michal Vizer

WYSIWYG – well known Anglo-Saxon short form of "What You See Is What You Get".
In "WYSIWYG" I am saying: take me or leave me, because this is who I am, with all my human fallacies and faults.
The work consists (at the moment at least) of six pieces. The basis is a ready-made card, 15 x 21 cms. As I very often do, I use images cut from newspapers or magazines , appropriate them as it were and turn them into my images by altering them. They are there to serve a purpose. They are my innermost feelings or thoughts about my SELF. About the real ME that is inside me.
The technique is mixed media, using: collage, acrylic paint, graphite, asphalt, black ink, white correction fluid, amongst others.<\p>
